Over the past year, Indonesia-China cooperation significantly expanded beyond trade and infrastructure, prioritizing the energy transition, green industry, and technology development. Between October 2024 and October 2025, various public and private entities, including Indonesia’s SWF Danantara, engaged in agreements and project launches. Key focus areas include renewable energy projects (solar and wind), electric vehicle production, and strengthening the battery supply chain (nickel processing). Policy dialogues and investment partnerships are specifically designed to align financial flows with Indonesia’s ambitious national goals: 100% Renewable Energy by 2035 and achieving Net Zero by 2050. New funding structures involving institutional investors and joint training programs are also supporting these efforts. This annual report reviews these developments in detail across three sections: Progress, Prospects, and Recommendations.
